Using a shaving brush:

Apply a fingertip amount to a damp shaving brush, then work into a lather using a shave bowl and swirling your brush in circular motion. Add small amounts of water to the bowl until the lather is thick and creamy. Apply shaving cream to damp face and proceed to shave.

Applying directly to face:

Apply a fingertip amount to your dampened face then work into a lather directly on your face using your fingertips until your face and neck are covered. Proceed to shave.
